Cathy Trolian

Cathy Trolian, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Certified Clinical

Cathy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist who brings warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for each individual’s unique story to her work. She believes healing is fostered through genuine connection, self-awareness, and learning how to safely reconnect with the body and mind.

She earned her master’s degree in clinical social work from Florida State University. Drawing on experience in acute mental health treatment, hospice care, and higher education, Cathy partners with patients to build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. She incorporates mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based approaches to support patients as they navigate stress, grief, burnout, life transitions, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Her work is grounded in the understanding that emotional pain and chronic stress are experienced not only in thought patterns, but also within the nervous system and body. Cathy believes healing begins with establishing safety and supporting nervous system regulation before addressing changes in thoughts or behaviors. She is committed to creating a safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental environment where patients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move toward greater authenticity and well-being. Her experience includes supporting teens, adults, older adults, caregivers, healthcare professionals, students, and individuals navigating significant life transitions and loss. Cathy is committed to providing an affirming and supportive space for all her patients and especially for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. She also values mindfulness, creativity, music, nature, and expressive arts as meaningful pathways to healing and connection.

Having lived and worked in the Florida Panhandle for more than 23 years, Cathy values the resilience, connection, and strong sense of community that characterize the Gulf Coast. Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys photography, yoga, hiking, camping, spending time in nature, singing, theatre, and playing the violin and guitar. She brings a deep appreciation for creativity, authenticity, and meaningful connection to both her professional and personal life.
