Eden is a Florida Panhandle native, having grown up in quiet, small town in Northwest Florida before pursuing her education throughout the state. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University. As a License-Eligible Clinician and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Eden brings a strong foundation in evidence-based, trauma-informed care to her work with adolescents, adults, and families.
Prior to joining True Joy Counseling, Eden served as a Mental Health Therapist at a local youth academy, where she managed a full clinical caseload of adolescent males in a residential treatment setting. There, she provided individual, family, and group therapy, developed individualized treatment plans, and delivered crisis intervention and behavioral stabilization during psychiatric and emotional emergencies. She also completed a clinical therapy internship at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, where she conducted intake interviews, biopsychosocial assessments, and psychoeducational group counseling.
Eden's therapeutic approach is patient-centered and grounded in evidence-based practice. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and The 7 Challenges, and holds certifications as a Child and Adolescent Behavioral Specialist and Veteran Ready provider. Drawing on her experience in crisis intervention, suicide and risk assessment, and motivational interviewing, Eden works collaboratively with patients to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change. She is known for her calm, decisive presence in high-stress situations and for building genuine therapeutic rapport with patients across developmental stages.
Outside of her professional work, Eden enjoys spending time with her family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and attending live country music concerts. She is also a dedicated fan, cheering on her FSU Seminoles and Stetson Hatters!
