Dr. Cassidy also has extensive experience serving military members and their families. She has provided psychological care at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Tyndall Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, and the Intrepid Spirit Center at Eglin Air Force Base, where she worked with service members recovering from traumatic brain injuries. She brings a deep understanding of the demands of military life, including deployments, relocations, fitness-for-duty concerns, and service-related trauma. In therapy, she draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, mindfulness-based treatment, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. She uses these to help patients manage depression, anxiety, PTSD, and life stressors while building resilience and well-being.
Additionally, Dr. Cassidy has expertise in comprehensive psychological and neurocognitive evaluations. She served as a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Institute on Aging. There she evaluated adults with traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, and other complex neurological conditions, supervised trainees, and frequently presented to medical providers and community groups on cognitive health and aging. Her evaluations are designed to provide diagnostic clarity, practical recommendations, and a clearer understanding of each patient’s strengths and needs, both for patients and for the families and care teams who support them.
Dr. Cassidy offers both in-office and telehealth appointments, giving patients convenient access to care. Her approach is collaborative and thorough, and she is committed to helping each patient feel understood, empowered, and supported in reaching their goals.
