Dr. Dougherty is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience providing psychological services across a wide range of clinical, educational, and community-based settings. Born and raised in the Midwest, she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2004 and completed her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in 2006. Since that time, Dr. Dougherty has developed a broad and well-rounded clinical background through her work in acute psychiatric hospitalization, adolescent residential treatment, community mental health, private practice, public and parochial schools, and long-term care facilities.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Dougherty has developed particular expertise in psychological evaluations and testing. Her evaluation experience has included assessments involving children in state custody, parental capacity evaluations, and other complex clinical presentations requiring careful assessment and diagnostic clarity. She currently focuses on psychological evaluations designed to support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and a clearer understanding of each patient’s needs. In addition, she provides compensation and pension examinations for military veterans, bringing professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for the unique experiences of those who have served.
Dr. Dougherty is committed to making high-quality mental health services accessible and responsive to the needs of her patients. She is readily and exclusively available through a secure telehealth platform, allowing patients to receive care in a comfortable, convenient, and familiar setting. Her professional approach is grounded in thorough assessment, clear communication, and a thoughtful understanding of each individual’s clinical history, current concerns, and goals for care.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Dougherty enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, boating, and walking her dog.
